With over three decades of hairdressing experience, Andrew Barton is renowned as hairdressing royalty.

During his career, he has amassed an impressive collection of prestigious awards, including British Hairdresser of the Year and British Hair Icon. Best known as the hairdressing expert from the hit makeover TV show, 10 Years Younger, Andrew has an extensive roster of creative collaborations from fashion, beauty, arts and celebrity.

As one of the UK’s most celebrated names in hairdressing, Andrew is regularly featured across global media, from editorial features to television campaigns and print advertising. He is a voice for British hairdressing, a proud, active member of many industry organisations and as such, travels the world to share his signature hair philosophy presenting hair education.

Andrew is also the figurehead of his own hairdressing empire, with an award-winning signature hair care range, which is currently on a journey of internationalisation. He is a Creative Director for Racoon International hair extensions, steering the brand’s creative direction and leading the Artistic and Education teams in delivery, artistry, and skillset. Andrew’s salon experience has included Creative Director roles for salon groups Headmasters, Saks, Toni & Guy, and Urban Retreat at Harrods.

Recently he curated Beehives, Bobs and Blow- dries, an exhibition exploring the cultural significance of hair fashion – through the rise of the celebrity hairdresser, their hair styling techniques and the hair salon over the past 50 years.

His latest project, Andrew Barton London Education (ABLE), is a contemporary training programme which offers colleges of further education comprehensive add-on training to their existing portfolio of hairdressing education to run alongside traditional technical qualifications..

He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Arts from Southampton Solent University - the only accolade of its kind to ever have been awarded to a hairdresser.

Beyond his high media profile within hairdressing, Andrew is a patron of Coram BAAF, the UK’s oldest children charity, and Hairdresser Ambassador for The Little Princess Trust
